Public Act No. 08-167: An Act Concerning the Confidentiality of Social Security Numbers.

All databases which contain pertinent information to an individuals’ identity which include Social Security numbers and/or Health Insurance identification numbers are all password protected. We have multiple software backup systems in place as well as anti-hacking software. The company premise has a security system. It is our company policy here at Health Insurance Quote Service, Inc. to dispose of all important records that we deal with on a daily basis none of them are thrown in the trash.

We have a contract with Secure Eco Shred to have these records shredded on site on a monthly basis and have a “statement of destruction” signed by Secure Eco Shred’s bonded personnel. These records are placed in a locked box in the office where all of these records are kept until our scheduled pick up by Secure Eco Shred.
